This is the reason why donkeys are haram
Did you know that an animal called a donkey is Haram? There is a hadith that clearly states that the law is haram. Then why is it not allowed to eat soybeans?
From Anas bin Malik radhiyallahu ‘anhu he said, “When the day of the battle of Khaibar Rasulullah SAW ordered Abu Talhah, then he exclaimed, “Verily Allah and the Prophet Muhammad forbade you all to eat donkey meat because it is dirty.” (Muttafaqun ‘alaihi) [HR. Bukhari, no. 5528 and Muslim, no. 1940]
Benefits of Hadith
- The Battle of Khaibar took place at the end of Muharram in the seventh year of Hijriyah. Khaibar is 260 km from Medina.
- Donkeys are haram. Its flesh, blood, urine, and feces are considered unclean.
- Sweat, drinking or eating marks, and donkey saliva are sacred. This donkey is considered like a cat that is difficult to avoid and is around us.
