Dates
Muslims usually consumes dates during the Holy Month of Ramadan to break their fasts. This fruit is actually a great source of vitamins and minerals which contain dietary fibre, vitamin A, potassium, calcium and many more. The sunnah in eating dates encourages Muslims to to consume dates in odd numbers, which is a common practice by the Prophet SAW and his companions.
“He who eats seven ‘Ajwa dates every morning will not be affected by poison or magic on the day he eats them.” [Bukhari]
Honey
Honey has countless internal and external benefits. The internal benefits of honey are strengthening our stomach, digestion, and also reducing muscle fatigue. Meanwhile for external benefits, honey is also used to treat wounds and minor burns. On top of that, honey is also great for your skin.
”Honey is a remedy for every illness and the Quran is a remedy for all illness of the mind, therefore I recommend to you both remedies, the Quran and honey.“ [Bukhari]
Figs
Figs has many health benefits and are a good source of vitamins and minerals such as iron and a good source of fibre. This fruit is a good cure for stomach disorders and piles like alleviating constipation and helps you feel full longer. We can consume Figs both fresh and dried.

Watermelon
People like watermelon because of the refreshing effect it gives. It also helps to relieve pain and muscle soreness, boost immunity, and prevent acid reflux. In addition, watermelons also improve your eye health and protect your skin. According to his companions, the Prophet SAW would consume watermelon with ripe dates.
“The hotness of this substance (dates) neutralises the coolness of that (watermelon).” [Abu Dawood and At-Tirmidhi]
Milk
Milk is a great source of nutrients such as calcium, protein, potassium and many more. Its high nutrition value aids in making your bones and teeth healthy while repairing muscles and maintaining healthy red blood cells.
“There is instruction for you in cattle. From the contents of their bellies, between that which is to be eliminated (from the animal’s body) and (its) blood, We give you pure milk to drink, easy for drinkers to swallow.” [Surah An‐Nahl: 66]
