Food is the main thing that must be considered in everyday life. What is eaten must be good, healthy and nutritious, especially for Muslims to pay attention to halal.

Allah has created the following creatures as well by providing their sustenance, one of which is the food we eat. Examples include animals, plants and even seeds. Obviously it was created in order to coexist with humans.

In addition to coexistence, the two types of creatures were also created to provide benefits. One of the benefits that can be obtained, namely for food ingredients so that humans can survive.

Then what foods can be eaten and what cannot be eaten? Buya Yahya on the YouTube channel Al-Bahjah TV, answered that the type of food that is halal but makes a drag and his life is far from the word blessing is food that causes excessive odors, for example like onions, petai, jengkol, and others. The reason is because if the food is in the house it will cause an unpleasant odor.

So you have to pay attention to the food that you can eat, but it’s not good to eat, if you eat it too often it will cause bad luck, even your life is not a blessing.

“That’s why it’s makruh for us to eat food that smells bad to eat onions, jengkol, petai, it’s makruh,” said Buya Yahya on the Al-Bahjah TV YouTube channel, which aired on Sunday, June 3 2018.

Buya Yahya said, by consuming these makhruh foods, angels will not enter the house, especially angels who give grace, one of which is the Angel Mikail who is in charge of distributing sustenance, because angels like fragrant things.
